For anyone who needs this, now or later: every province has a self-exclusion program, and if you're in Ontario, ConnexOntario runs a free, confidential problem gambling helpline. BC has GameSense, and GamTalk offers online support right across the country.

Using any of these is strength, not defeat. That's the whole post.

Pinned this in my own head. Worth adding: most casino sites also have their own self-exclusion toggle in the account settings. Use both — belt and suspenders.

Great addition. And if you're worried about a friend or family member rather than yourself, those helplines will talk to you too. You don't have to figure it out alone.

18+ — If gambling stops being fun, ConnexOntario's problem gambling helpline is free and confidential, and every province has a self-exclusion program — take a break when you need one.
