are the brick-and-mortar casinos actually worried?

Was at the local casino on a Friday and the place was half empty. Half! Meanwhile everyone I know under a certain age plays on their phone. Are the physical casinos sweating yet?

Nah, the pension crowd keeps those lights on, bless them. Different audience entirely. The phone players were never driving an hour to sit at a slot bank anyway.

Both things can be true. My local renovated the poker room, put in fancy chairs, and it's still dead most nights. The action moved online and it's not coming back.

Fair. Maybe ours is just sadder than most. Though I do miss the free coffee and people-watching, not gonna lie.
